What is a Mindful Spot?

A Place to be yourself!

Mindfulness; Coaching and Mentoring (online). A Mindful Spot is a quiet space in The Hague (Den Haag) where you can slow down and reflect. I offer three ways where you can explore and tap into whatever is going on in your life, in the present moment: Mindfulness; Coaching and Mentoring. All offerings are available online and worldwide.

A place to establish in yourself!

It’s a place where we explore your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and life situations with mindfulness and honesty (mostly with yourself). Through coaching, mentoring, and mindfulness practices, you’ll begin to see your role in what you’re experiencing—and how to respond with clarity.

Personal and professional!

Whether in your personal or professional life, finding that mindful spot within yourself can become the turning point toward a more fulfilling and peaceful life. Your own awareness is the key.

Who is A Mindful Spot for?

You feel stuck in your relationship, job, or sense of purpose. You want clarity and connection to what really matters to you.

You keep noticing the same patterns in your life. Coaching can help you uncover the deeper needs behind these patterns—and let go of what no longer serves you.

You’re already on a personal development journey and curious about gaining fresh perspective. New voices can bring new energy.

Family life is overwhelming you—mentally, emotionally, or physically. You feel on edge, or like you’ve lost time for yourself or your relationships. Here, you can check in with yourself and make space again.

Work feels heavy or unfulfilling. You’re navigating difficult dynamics with colleagues or managers, or unsure how to move forward. Mindfulness helps you reconnect to what you truly want.

You want to explore or deepen your mindfulness practice. Whether you’re just beginning or already experienced, these sessions help you reconnect with yourself through presence, breath, and intention.

Why Mindfulness; Coaching and Mentoring at A Mindful Spot?

To be honest, writing about a “unique selling point” isn’t easy. But what I can offer is real experience. Over the years, I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on why I respond to life the way I do—at work, in relationships, and in moments of discomfort. That reflection led me on a long journey.

From my mid-twenties into my late thirties, I explored coaching, mindfulness, and Buddhist psychology. I’ve trained in Co-Active coaching and studied with Zen Buddhist monks and nuns across Europe. I’ve explored the ways we develop patterns, defense mechanisms, and deeper emotional structures—and how we can free ourselves from them.

Today, I bring a full toolbox, lived experience, and my presence to walk beside you—wherever you are right now.

I’ve also lived the expat life for over a decade, and I understand how displacement can be both enriching and destabilizing. This too informs the work we can do together.

If this resonates, I’d be honored to work with you.

Offering:

Coaching

In 1-on-1 coaching sessions, we work with the topics that are most alive for you. You can bring specific questions, challenges, or just a sense that something needs attention. We explore what might be holding you back—and how to reconnect with your strength and wisdom.

Mentoring

Mentoring is more directive. We investigate a situation or pattern together, and I may offer reflections based on my own experience—”If I were in your place, I might…” You decide what resonates. On the Mentoring page, you’ll see how this differs from coaching.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness helps you come back to the present moment. Whether you’ve had a long day or are navigating something difficult, these sessions offer space to breathe, reset, and reconnect. You’ll gain tools to observe your thoughts and feelings with clarity—and meet yourself with more compassion.

Why We Mend Our Wounds, Not Heal Them (Yet)

Why We Mend Our Emotional Wounds (Before We Heal Them) Over the years, I was under the impression—through what I heard, learned, and hoped—that eventually I would heal from my traumas. That one day, I’d be free from the emotional weight of the experiences that shaped me, especially the difficult…

awareness and freedom

Is Awareness the Same as Freedom?

Awareness and freedom Becoming aware isn’t the same as becoming free. After years of reflecting on mindfulness, I’ve come to question something we often assume: that awareness automatically leads to freedom. But… does it?If awareness is the key, what exactly are we becoming aware of?And if freedom…

Feeling overwhelmed by personal growth

Feeling Overwhelmed by Personal Growth? The feeling of being overwhelmed by personal growth is common. I’ve experienced it myself—the internal questions like: “When will I stop feeling like this?” “When will I finally get better?” “I’m 36 and I still can’t get a grip on my thoughts when they take…
